Recently, we acted like a real family and actually got our pictures taken! This may seem like nothing to most...but my husband...is just not a picture kind of guy! He tends to make goofy faces in every picture and always is super goofy. Its his trademark. BUT over the last 13 years (I think that's how long we have been together, lol ) our only family photo is from our wedding. Only one diva was present and she was only 1 at the time...she will be 12 this summer.. My mother in law has hinted for every birthday and holiday that this was the only gift she wanted..so WE FINALLY DID IT! Based off these, you can see we are never serious...we are not ashamed lol

Last week we celebrated a big day! my baby girl is 9!! It is hard to believe that my sweet, little, sassy, slime loving girl is so close to double digits! This girls smile can light up a room! While she eye rolls you into last year! haha. Shes a feminist through and through, and has no shame letting you know girl power. She has a soft spot for animals and red lipstick, and a obsession with all things slime. She is a mommas girl and I am enjoying every minute of it! Love you Boogie<3
Everyone has their own creative outlets, as you know mine is crochet. I fully encourage everyone in my house to have that spark that drives them and I love watching the girls open their eyes to new things daily. My oldest has always had a thing for drawing and getting lost in her own little world. Lately, she has picked it back up and has blown my mind with her creativity! This year for Christmas she only asked for art supplies, she is 11, and I know how this girl can be. So I kept reminding her, that if all you get is art supplies and decide to not draw, you will be whiney! We all know how kids are, they get sucked into something and that's all they want for a week and soon forget about it. She spent a lot of time researching and watching reviews while creating her santa list...she didn't hold back, haha! I can honestly say, she has used every piece and hasn't stop! We are even talking about getting prints made and sharing tables at events this fall. Here is a look into her little world<3 <3
I am her biggest fan<3 Are you an organized person? I am jealous if you are! I am not sure if its my new responsibilities at work? My kids school and homework? All the braces appointments? Or if I am just finally losing it! But, I honestly can not remember everything I need to do, haha. So after seeing all the hype on social media over bullet journaling, I figured why not! Before I even start, let me just say this. DO NOT LOOK ON PINTEREST! Unless of course you are a art major who can create the coolest layouts evvverr. Now, I am not saying you shouldn't look at some pins, but goodness, I am no where near these levels. Bullet journaling is basically a blank journal, and each page is graphed out with little dots. You create your own layout and designs and do what you want. It is rather nice, because some organizers just don't have enough room, or specialize in what you really care about. My oldest is all about making mood trackers and I am all about remembering what store I am scheduled at and what orders are due. Its always cracked me up, because somethings I am so organized with, others not so much. Well, I guess what I mean is, I am good with physical stuff, not memory stuff. My yarn room is so organized I can tell you what tote I need without being in there....but I have brought the wrong kid to a doctors appointment. Life. So far it seems to be working. I always carry it on me and tend to doodle in during work calls. I noticed that since I am the one actually creating the memos, calendar and to do list repeatedly...it is kind of sticking. Now, I am only like 2 months into this, so lets just hope this last. Do you journal? What is your favorite page you have created? Here is a glance of mine, see that amazing art skill With the new year, I want to make some changes! So if you have been to the site before, you know it was ALWAYS crochet related only. That is all going to change. I want you guys to get to know the lady behind the hook! Its time for me to stop hiding behind myself and break down my fears. So with that being said, Hello, my name is Tabitha and I am a huge bookworm. If I'm not crocheting or chasing the kids, I am one with my books. There is just something about getting lost in words, that I can't explain! I grew up reading Poe, King and Patterson, so I have always loved all things dark and mysterious!! A good mystery is the best way to end your night, I swear! Every year I set up a little challenge for myself, its nothing crazy, just to read one book a month. I try to switch up my styles and have even allowed clerks at the shops to pick my books. There is really only one style I can not get into, and that's romance. I try, but really anything with a Fabio style cover is ignored on the shelves, haha.
What about you? Are you a bookworm? If so, what books should I add to my 2019 read list? XOXO You can follow me on Goodreads<3 https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/58114672-tabitha |
